Hello Scholars,

Welcome to Survey of English.This class is a rigorous college-preparatory course that builds a solid foundation of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Studying literature and writing will provide you with a context for your art. You will explore big ideas and essential questions by reading poetry, drama, fiction, non-fiction, and mythology. You will write to develop and expand your own ideas and to examine the work and ideas of published authors and artists. A big part of this class will require you to reflect and evaluate your own work so you can think, read, listen, speak, and write more critically.
